3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Adhesive DP8410NS is a non-sag, two-part acrylic adhesive. It is a durable adhesive that features a fast rate of strength build to provide structural strength in just minutes.3M Scotch-Weld Acrylic Adhesive DP8410NS is a non-sag, acrylic adhesive with a 10:1 mix ratio. It features an 11-minute work life time to allow time to position substrates prior to adhesion. This working life, open time, and cure length can be altered with heat to decrease the cure time. Once fully cured, this adhesive will reach 1,000 psi (7 MPa) of overlap shear strength in approximately 36 minutes, increasing throughput and productivity while featuring a high peel and impact performance. Full cure will be reached within 24 hours. 3M Scotch-Weld Acrylic Adhesive DP8410NS has been recognized by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for use in electrical equipment and electric signs. Please review UL File QOQW2. MH17478 and Sign Components Manual (SAM) File E464624 for details. 3M Scotch-Weld Acrylic Adhesive DP8410NS has been tested for surface flammability, smoke, toxic gas generation, and caloric content. Acrylic adhesives are two-part methyl methacrylate adhesives (MMA) that provide excellent bond strength and durability. Often referred to as epoxy adhesives or epoxy glue, acrylics actually belong to a separate chemical family with their own unique characteristics. Acrylic glues have several features that make them easier to use, including a much faster cure speed, higher tolerance for oily or unprepared bonding surfaces and the ability to bond a wide variety of materials, including nearly all plastics. Newer acrylic adhesive formulations are room temperature stable with a long shelf life.
